Imperial Earl Grey tea – loose in tin

Considered the most popular scented black tea all over the world, this blend is named after Charles Grey, a British Earl and Prime Minister in the 1830s. The story tells that he received some tea flavoured with bergamot as a gift: the Minister appreciated the special aroma so much as to ask his tea supplier to reproduce the exact tea blend for his family. Thanks to its elegant flavour and history, this particular tea blend is considered sophisticated and aristocratic.
The Florian Earl Grey is defined “Imperial” thanks to its mixture of Indian Darjeeling black teas, the most valuable black tea in the world, scented with natural essential oil of bergamot.
Its pungent and penetrating aroma is due to the natural process of fermentation and the rolling of the leaves.
This classic tea, capable to satisfy even the most refined palates, is ideal for a traditional afternoon tea, delicious with biscuits and sweets in general.
It also pairs masterfully with chocolate and, surprisingly, with spicy dishes or particularly tasty cheeses to accompany aperitif and dinner.
