The photographic book by Marc De Tollenaere contains a rich and splendid collection of pictures of Veneice and Caffè Florian. The copies are available in limited edition and they are personalized for Caffè Florian.
A very special part Venice’s history since 1720, Caffè Florian is a fascinating place that seems to belong to another era. Seated comfortably in what is one of the most charming drawing-rooms in the world, one gets here a vivid sense of Venetian life, history and culture. Then, glancing out beyond the marble columns of the colonnade that runs under the Procuratie Nuove, one can enjoy the play of light and shade that Venice witnesses every day.
Depicting famous and totally unknown corners of the city, the pictures in this book capture the entire range of the beauty which Venice has to offer. Just as in the endless play of reflections caught between the mirrors of Caffè Florian, the images in this book capture one in continual visions of ever-changing lights and reflections. One is offered a privileged glimpse into a unique and fascinating world of legend.
Caffé Florian is proud to present this book of intense and vibrant images that capture the very special light of Venice, which crystallise these luminous echoes of time and history.
