For the 300 years of Caffè Florian, the Italian Post Office and the “Ministero dello Sviluppo Economico” has dedicated a special stamp convalidation: a unique occasion both for collectors and for those who want a special souvenir of this historic Caffè.
Since its opening on December 29th 1720, thank to Floriano Francesconi, Caffè Florian has witnessed historic moments in town and has survived the epochal changes of the past three centuries. Today as much as ever, our coffee house kept true to its identity despite the passing of time, showing class and distinction in maintaining its world-class hospitality and quality that have been enjoyed over the years by all its guests, both celebrities and ordinary people.
As you enter Florian, you can’t help but feel that peculiar atmosphere. These spaces retreated from the passage of time. What you see today is the coffee house as it stood mid-1800s, following its first important renovation. Florian is part myth, part heritage of Venice as travelers and mindful tourists know very well.
On this important anniversary, Caffè Florian would like to share its story with the thousands other stories that every day take place within its wall: Venetians have been saying “Let’s go see Florian’s!” for three hundred years, and still do.

The FOLDER includes one stamped and franked postcard, one stamp, one stamped and franked Florian envelope, a block of 4 stamps.
