Fished in Venice” is a limited edition designer object created to relish Venice in small sips.
Its fish-like shape is reminiscent of the unmistakeable outline of the lagoon City, in addition to the first obvious correlation with the creatures of its depths; the crystal from which it is made recalls the transparency of the water.
The object is modular, two glasses in one: the removable small glass serves to limit the quantity of liqueur that may be contained. The idea behind this was to combine aesthetics and function, along with a symbolic “plus”: by metaphorical implication, an intimate, exclusive relationship with the city that entails drinking directly from the fish’s mouth. The eye of the fish-glass bears the punch-mark of one of the premises that have become symbolic places par excellence of Venice – the historical Caffè Florian. To give back to drinking both the old value of refined ritual and a playful note that reflects a modern spirit.
“Fished in Venice” is dedicated to those who wish to have the pleasure of taking in Venice bit by bit, in rare form.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Antonio Dei Rossi, a Venetian artist born in 1964, accomplished his artistic studies at the Institute of Art and then at the Fine Arts Academy in Venice, where he was awarded his diploma in 1987. A teacher of Graphic Design, painter, sculptor, designer of objects and clothes, Dei Rossi is a versatile creator, who loves experimenting with apparently highly differing technical and expressive solutions, which in reality are united by an unmistakable personal touch.
