Florian’s ambience and philosophy in Taipei

Traditions, service and quality as in the Venetian historic coffeehouse

In Taipei, at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi Place A9, a true paradise for trendsetter and much more than a fascinating luxury venue for shopping, Florian is the place to be to enjoy the true Italian art of living.

The Florian Taipei elegantly recalls the style and atmosphere of the eighteenth-century Venetian Caffé, reinterpreted in a modern and contemporary fashion. The facade revives the original shop entrance of the Florian in Venice, while the interior walls surface feature the theme “Dragon Rising High In The Clouds”, creating an affinity with Oriental culture.

The special link between the Florian brand and the world of art is emphasized by the presence of “Le Spose del Mare” (The Sea Brides), an artistic installation by the Italian photographer Roberto Kusterle, exhibited in the Caffé Florian in Venice in 2016, concurrently with the Biennale Architettura.

Hanging on the walls of the Florian Taipei there are the portraits called “N.N. Not Noti ” (The Unknown) by the artist Frenopersciacalli, and the black and white photos by Gianni Berengo Gardin, exclusive pieces of art created expressly for the Florian. Inside the venue many vases are on display, original creations of glass masters from Murano island.

Outdoor, you can have a break seated around one of the circular tables that are part of the installation “So We’ll Go No More to Roving”, created by the Chinese artist Qui Zhijie for the Caffè Florian in 2015.

The Florian Taipei imported also the traditional “silver tray service” featuring the Florian style: waiters and waitresses elegantly dressed in their uniforms serve customers on trays, rigorously made in silver.

In addition to the style and the quality coming from over three hundred years’ history, the Florian Taipei offers the same menu of the Venetian coffeehouse, proposing to its customers the true Italian espresso together with special coffees and cappucinos, chocolates drinks, ice-creams and delicacies: a real 297 years’ long journey that allows you to enjoy the authenticity of Italian tradition.

Inside the Florian Taipei, a wide range of uniquely refined branded products, with a strong accent on Venetian tradition and all the elegance of the celebrated Italian style, are on sale: the delicacies of the Gourmet range (coffees, cocoa, chocolates, teas, biscuits, jams), the elegance of the Lifestyle line (porcelains, accessories, ambiance perfumes, eau de toilettes, books), and the unique Design objects expressly made for Florian by worldwide renowned artists.
